VOD: verse of the day

His love endures forever!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good

Psalm 136: 1-3

Basically this whole psalm is David just praising God for everything. I realize that I do not praise God as I should. I selfishly use him as a genie in a bottle. I come to him with a list of prayer requests, pretty much all about me, and I forget to give Him glory first. It is not about me, its about Him! I also love in this psalm when David says: who gives food to every creature, he freed us from enemies, he brings us through the midst of our troubles, he has a mighty hand and an outstreched arm, and he is the God of heaven! His love, his obligation, his commitment, and his faithfulness endure forever!
